Skill Requirements
Education: Completion of College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificated, licenses, etc.): Aircraft Mechanic Trade Certification, 1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice, AME (M) License - Aircraft
Experience: 1 - 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Main Responsibility: Technician
Mechanical Maintenance Experience: Aircraft maintenance - general
Structural Repair Experience: Aircraft structures - general
Type of Aircraft Experience - Airplanes: Large piston airplanes, Small turboprops, Large turboprops, Small jet airplanes, Large jet airplanes
Type of Aircraft Experience - Helicopters: Small turbine helicopters
Work setting/industry Experience: General Aviation
Aircraft Mechanic Skills: Visually inspect/assess and assist repairs to aircraft structures, systems and equipment. Dismantle aircraft systems for repair and overhaul and reassemble. Complete records of work done and sustain an accurate record system.
